Story Exploration
Story Exploration is the heart of our process at We Write Stories.
Story Exploration offers a unique opportunity to reflect on your experiences, gain new perspectives, and tell your story in a way that feels authentic and empowering. By creating a space where your narrative is truly heard and validated, Story Exploration allows you to uncover deeper meaning in your life’s events, paving the way for personal growth while preserving your insights for future generations. It’s more than just telling your story—it’s about discovering its true impact.
The Story Exploration Process
Initial Onboarding and Discovery:
We begin with a deep discovery session led by your Story Explorer and Story Analyst, who provide a non-judgmental space where your story is not just heard but validated. Rarely in life do we get the chance to share our stories without pushback or interruption. Here, your story is treated with respect, and we work to uncover its true depth. We aim to put your experiences into context, offering a holistic view of your life that may even give you a new perspective. The emotions and feelings from your past still hold great significance, and reflecting on them with more life experience often reveals fresh insights.
Weekly Story Exploration Calls.
You’ll have weekly 90-minute Story Exploration calls that are designed to let your story unfold naturally. Our unique approach categorizes these conversations into two types:
Reflective & Introspective:
We dive deep into specific events, allowing you to reflect on them as the person you are today, offering new perspectives on past experiences.
Real-Time Thought Process:
We also explore your current thinking, tapping into the advice and wisdom you’ve accumulated over the years. We believe your current advice is often your best advice, and it’s our job to capture these insights for your future audience.
The journey.
As we explore your story together, we don’t just listen to what you say, we learn how you communicate. We discover your most common words, phrases, and experiences, and sometimes we help you find more empowering ways to express yourself. Our process can help you become a better storyteller, leading to deeper personal growth and clearer purpose as you reflect on your journey.
Whether you're creating a memoir or a professional book, exploring your story remains at the core of our work. Your story becomes not just something to share with others but also a journey of self-discovery and inspiration for the path ahead. While your book will touch the lives of its readers, the process itself could transform yours.
Throughout the process, all of your Story Exploration sessions are transcribed, organized, coded, analyzed, and archived. This ensures that nothing is missed, and every detail is preserved for later use. These transcriptions become a rich resource, helping us see patterns in your storytelling, identify key themes, and ensure your voice comes through authentically. By organizing and coding your sessions, we gain a deeper understanding of your narrative and can highlight the most impactful moments in your story.
Everything is meticulously archived, so your words and insights remain a lasting resource, not just for your book, but for future reflections and projects.
